Truck Gate Question

I have an 88 blazer that i want to put a truck gate on. I have the hardware from an 86 and i am looking to get a tailgate from a 78, will this all work or will i need to find a different year gate??

IIRC there are two diferent styles of hardwarwe. All you need to do is have a gate and hardware that match. I put truck gates from mid 80s P/Us on my '73 Blazer and '80 Jimmy. Both fit w/o any problem.

He is correct. Get the tailgate and all its hardware and you will be fine. I have a '75 tailgate on my '85 K5.

you should pm Derf00, he has just put a truck gate on his k5 and a soft top, im sure he could tell you everything about how to do it, his truck, as if it already wasnt the cleanest k5 i have ever seen, easily got alot cleaner!! i am dying to do this mod, but i have to get it running first!
