Morning, I'm shipping up my ccsrw from St. Croix to Miami in the next few weeks and I need to find a resonable quote for shipping it from Miami to Maine. Can anyone help? Thanks!

You may be able to put it on the auto train if you can drive it to I think Virginia. I think it let's you off outside Orlando if I remember correctly. One of my friends used to take his car to school in Daytona like that fairly cheap. He had a mr2 though....

Sorry just realized you are going the opposite way. Haha the train goes the other way too though

Expect to pay at least a dollar a mile for a decent hauler with experience for an open trailer. Probably more for a crew cab since its so damn long.

tell me about it; since I lifted it they want to charge me 2400 from STX to Miami; I whittled it down to 1500 w Tropical Shipping because the do an enormous bulk of the shipping down here.. But..inland It won't fit on a std car carrier on the lower level because it's 7'2" tall and they can't put on the top because it will be to tall overall.. So, the three car carrier is one option but since it's 21'6" long it takes up the space of two cars >:{ and now I'm getting quotes of 2k-3k for Miami to Maine... F!$k... My buddy is checking on a container quote to NJ 20min away from where I work now, maybe it'll b decent but ether way I'm gunna end up road tripping a decent portion of the distance...

Not really true...All my quotes from NC to CA were in the 1600's, anouther member here was around 1800 for the same trip.

Well over a 2k mile trip.

Good to know. Ever move a big CC for that price? Seems the damn thing is just too tall for conventional methods.. Funny though, a super duty-w-285's is taller than my truck w 37s.. I'd love to find someone who would do it for $1500 +/-
I've toyed w Uship quotes before but man I just don't like that sketchy way of doing buisness ie can't talk to the shipper about pricing, timelines, etc-etc prior to commiting, fact... Too many stories of people getting overcharged after agreeing to the innitial quote..

when are you looking to do this is it some time in April I might have a trailer in port charlit fl. in the month of april dont know exact dates of return to me. but some time in april. and will get a quote.

here is an option I am Helping my parents move some stuff down to fl. If the truck would make the trip I would be willing to drive it back you buy gas . put some small tires on it.(to save the big one and better fuel mpg). there again I dont know dates yet but let me know.If I go down with my parentss I will need to get back some how so i would drive it . I live in central me. could bring were ever a few days aftrer I get home.

Pricing depends on how many cars guys are hauling at once. Just be aware that any body seeking below average cost is possibly either new and breaking into the business and possibly a bad option or has a bad reputation and cant pull work without hiding behind the uship guise.

Tourus thanks, if the truck ships when it's supposed to it will be ready in west palm beach around the 25th give or take a couple days depending on US Customs. If I can't ship it for a decent price (ie: not 1/2 of what the truck is worth) ill drive it myself. I work a 4week on 4week off schedule so I've got no problem w the time..

well the 25 of April is about when my parents would be coming back from fl. but was jst talking with my dad and it would be about $2000 to get it back here and that is just over a dallor a mile. but the truck would have to have small tiers to get on the trailer. but if you drove it would be about half that in gas. so you you save. but lets keep in touch to see what happes never know.maybe could hook up with parents if nothing else just a suport team if boke down or some thing.but if nothing else wish you the best of luck in driving would be a great trip.

Ha, right on brother! Good idea..
I actually got a great deal from my buddy who owns a construction company on the island; he uses Crowley quite a bit outta NJ and we got a $1300 rate for a 40' container to Pensawken NJ... That's how it's gunna go down I hope; drive it up from there.. Im gunna run-er up from there...
