truck nutz

If you park your car of school premises then I would say theres absolutely nothing that can be done to you.

It may be your 'right' on a public road, but on school grounds they can control what goes on. *edit* I think that you meant "off school grounds" and if that is the case, you may be right.

The funniest one I saw was two 2" nuts on a chain hanging out the back of a mud drag truck. Not offensive and the same statement.

Perhaps it could be construed as sexual harassment in school, only because I know the way labor laws are. Especially in cali, it wouldnt surprise me to see an enmployee have a complaint in regards to something offensive such as those nuts on another employees car.

I think its about time that someone files a huge lawsuit against all of these clowns with thin skin. Seriously, their thin skin is offensive to me as a person... therefore, they need to a) grow a set, b) get a damn sense of humor and c) give me all their money for my emotional damages.

Yes, cbbr, I meant off school grounds. I would imagine when on school property they would be able to have much control over what goes on there. Something similar, but not the same, is in santa ana highschools they will send police dogs through the parking lot searching for drugs in students car. With that, if your car was parked on a public road I dont think a police officer could have his dog search out your car without reasonable suspicion or probable cause. I would imagine that would be considered illlegal search and seizure.

Ah yes, two plastic balls hanging from the rear of a truck just-a-swingin'.... about the dumbest thing I've ever seen.

But hey, who am I to tell a guy that he can't have a pair swinging against his rear, if thats what he wants....:dunno:

Hey Speedy,

I think "Truck Nutz" are hysterical. I have a friend here on post that has brass nutz. The nutz are in better shape than his K5, although he's changing that around big time!

Time to get real-

As far as it being sexual harassment, that's a crock. Sexual harassment has to make sport of the act, funny or crude jokes, public displays, proposition of, quid pro quo, or be sexist in nature. Now had you put a 12" Johnson sex toy under the rig with the nutz, yeah, I can see their point. But as far as the nutz are concerned, I kinda agree with Jek on this one. They need to grow a pair. At least you didn't have a plastic vagina in your trailer hitch. That would have gotten their panties in a wad. Then you could just look them straight in the eye and say: "Sand.....sand..."

If you think about it, you could find almost anything and say it's offensive. But you won't see anyone crack down on gutter mouth rap played at a billion decibles because of EO Laws.

Double standards! Gotta love 'em.

Are you gonna fight it, or let it die?

amen to that, people now days are so willing to sue you over anything and everything that they are "offended" by. Most of the time I think a person just sees an easy way to make some cash. Thats it, Im going to start suing for gays who kiss in public, anyone who flips me off in traffic, blacks-because I find the color black offensive, this will include anyone who drives a black car, uses a black crayon, or who has a black dash, shaven or hairy I dont care. Where dose it end? As I mentioned I wouldnt put those things on my truck but these people who get so butt hurt over everything need to grow a set and open their eyes up to the real world.

uless there is a law agianst it, i dont think they can tell you to remove them, not even the sheriff. there are even more offensive bumper stickers out there, but they stay on. people have them on around here, nobody cares. i would keep them on untill your proven that its a law or local school directive. stand up for yourself, drop those balls man!!!!

so if i painted my rig bright pink and it offended some cop, could he tell me to repaint it? i didnt think so.

i say if you dont like it, ignore it. let people do what they want to (if its not hurting anyone, common sense applicable here)

Here is where I get to date myself a bit.

Years ago you used to hear phrases like "Yeah, this trucks got some balls!!" etc. All refering to the big V8 etc. This is where truck nutz came from. Simply meant to be funny but has become just a way to offend some people.

Probably just one of those things whose time has past and should be left off a truck these days. $0.02

You didn't miss anything. The only purpose is to offend people. That is what must make them funny to some people.

When you get to explain those to your daughter, and your wife points out that those are "your kind of guys with the 4x4's", it is really fun for the rest of us.

EXACTLY. They just support the stereotype that off roaders are idiots.

:haha: :haha: :haha: :haha: :haha: :haha:

I don't know about your state but on school grounds pretty much what the security gaurd says gos. I was a security gaurd at a high school a while back. Told a kid to take an offensive bumper sticker (it wasn't funny) off his car. His dumb family filed suit against the school and me, didn't even go to court, they lost. That was of course cause the only parking around was on school property. On a public road I couldn't have said anything

That said I was easily bribed with sodas and snacks:D:D

Now you see "em,now you don't!

Hmmm.."Retractable Truck Nuts"!... ...

...use an old power window motor ,and some inginuity, and VOILA!

I can see the switch that controls them now..has two positions..

"Undecended" for school parking lot...:p:

"Decended" for street use!...:haha: :haha:

What I'd like to make for my truck bed is a retractactable middle finger,so I can flip off tailgaters!..but with my luck a police criuser would be the first "tailgater" I'd flip the bird too!..:doah:

LOL.. Speaking of turn signals why dont they have middle blinkers for "straight" Nobody ever uses their blinker anymore..im always wondering "is that asshole going left or is he coming my direction".

if you really feel the need to push your luck....

have a large sticker made for the rear window..something to the effect of

security guard Tom at gilbert H.S. does not respect the 1st amenment...

in highschool I rode my bike, I parked it out side of the bike rack, and often closer to campus, the security guards one day put a cable and lock on my bike and said witha note to see security. I had a freind take me home, got my dads bolt cutters and left the cut lock hanging on the fence

I went the next day, I returned his cable and pointed out that many other students parked outside the rack and that no where was any written rule that I had to do so.. next day I rode a different bike and did the same thing... the guy put a new lock and the same cable... with a note to see secutity. I cut the lock and left a note, "thanks for the cable, see my middle finger"

im sure he suspected it was me!i loved pushing boundries or rules in highschool, I have a zillion stories, my parents we often entertained, and other times they wanted to beat me:D

people who are offended by these are pathetic.....

I guess that's one way to look at it. Like I said above, I enjoy explaining things like this to my 4 yr old daughter old and wife.

Blanket statements with no consideration for others shows a lack of thought, a lack of empathy, a lack of consideration and as you made your very directed statement in light of other opinions, its just a bit offensive.
