ok so my neighbor has a 1979 k20 custom deluxe, it has been his farm truck for about 10 years or so but the trucks really not in that bad of shape for being in kentucky. i think all the cab needs is new rocker which is no big deal to me the floor and cab corners are still solid. it does need a new fender and prolly a new bed but other than that its good.

I was wondring what a good price would be for this truck, i dont want to insult him or anything just a fair price

I know around here, any running, drivable, 4X4 Pick-up is worth at least $1500.00

well its a 3/4 ton with a 350 and assuming th400 since its in the 70's also has a 14BFF in the rear and a 8 lug in bolt in the front idk know what the t-case is

I'd offer him $200. That is what I have given for a couple of K20's. Especially seeing as it doesn't run currently.

well i know the truck would run with very little work and he is my neihgor so i dont want to buy it that day and then be able to drive it where ever the same day when he thinks its worse off

I don't see how a non running '79 K20 is worth more than a couple hundred. There really aren't that many desirable parts. A dime a dozen 14bff, an 8 lug 10bolt/Dana44, an automatic transmission core, and NP203 transfer case, and a sbc???
