The very first pull with the truck. The front shaft I built held up. Of couse, the front was not carrying much of a load. If yoo look close those rear tires have rinkles in them about 8" long. They were diggin! Had plenty of motor, not enough traction. Gonna make some changes and pull again next weekend.

Honestly, my speedo has not worked in about 5 years! The stall slips at cruise, so it ranges from 2500-3000 at 45mph. This truck is not a daily driver but is street driven a lot and is very realiable as long as you keep an I on your gauges.

IMHO, you are offly tall to pull really well. Seems the hardcore pull trucks have no to 4" max of lift. Seems the big lifts cause too much front end lift and too much hopping. Whats your plan?

Looks like you just need to stiffin the rear a bit and maybe a huge traction bar. The rear was hoppin good at the end of the pull.

Yeah, I should have gotten out of it long before the hopping got bad. Yeah, I know the truck is too big for serious pulling. I'm just playing around in the street class. I am buildiing a lockout setup for the rear so it wont sit low as the weight box comes forward. A set of 33's instead of the 38's. A large ladder bar made of 1-7/8 o.d 1/4'' wall tubing, and a weight rack in the front with some tractor weights if I can find some for a reasonable price. The next pull is at Millers Tavern VA on AUG 25th. Hopefully I will have the lockout and the ladder bar done for the next pull. I will put the video up as soon as I can.

33s:thinking:..should be interesting looking..gimme a holla sometime..

Thank's 75k10chevy. It has a 406ci small block with quite a bit of internal work PM me if you want more info on it. Yeah Twoslo, those 33's are gonna look pretty silly. But, there is no need fot 38's at a pull. They are harder to spin, cause more wheel hop, and are harder on parts. The 33's should yield a better pull with less strain on everything else!
