ok so we got up there and stuck a fuse and the new distributor module in, tried to jump it but my friends scion didnt have enough juice to get it going and each time i tried to start it, it blew the "ECM ignition" and the "ECM battery" fuse so i replaced them. i got a lady with a navigator to help me jump start it, it started right up and after about a minute it died... sure enough i blew the "ecm ignition" fuse but the battery fuse was intact and still is. i cant find out where the wire is shorting from! where exactly is the ecm? im pretty sure i saw it right behind the glove box near the dash vent. has anyone else had this problem? am i damaging the new distributor module each time i blow the fuse? anyone know why it could be shorting out?

yeah ill do that... could it possibly be the wires to the fuel pump? or the fuel pump relay? it started up briefly like i said but died after about a minute. the wires to the fuel pump in the tank are squashed between the tank and the frame if i remember correctly... could that have something to do with it?

hey just got it towed today. you guys were right, the wires got pinched on the 1 inch riser at the carb and were shorting out. a little electrical tape and a relocation of the wires fixed it and she started right up. i just had her towed just in case it was something different because i really didnt feel like driving up there again. anyways heres some pics of where it was stuck. couldn't ask for a better place...
