I have a 82 k10 sbc 350. The starter turns the motot but the cylinders wont fire. There is spark. I have not checked the timing yet. The weird thing is the truck quit while driving, then wouldnt start. Then this morning it ran and quit after a few min. As im writing this I am thinking it is a fuel problem. But i dont know where to start.

If it quits running, then after sitting awhile it starts. Then it's probably the ignition module.

But you say it has spark now, but still isn't fireing. I'd look into the fuel system. Filter, pump, etc.

When it dies, does it quit like you turned the key off, or does it kinda stumble and stutter then die?

Well we just changed the fuel filter and after priming the system that seemed to do the trick. I wasnt around when the truck died as it is not mine. But if the fuel filter doesnt work then the next thing on my list is going to be the pump.

had this happen to me to. ended up being a melted plug wire on the number one cylinder. It would start when it was cold but run like **** than die after a few minutes. It was grounding on the block. When it would cool the rubber would cool and stop the ground but when it got warm the rubber would melt and ground it out again. pi**ed me off for two weeks before i finally found it. At least i have all new fuel system components to now
