Just a little history. I have had this truck for over 10 years now. It was my daily driver for years but has now become my fun truck. About 8 years ago it was named "truckasaurus" by one of my good friends, and the name has stuck.
I haven't been driving it much and it had fallen into a little disrepair. I couldn't stand it anymore, so I had the work that needed doing done.

New tires - Dunlop Mud Rover 35x12.50x15
New Lift - 4 inch
New Heads - Vortec
New Headers - Edelbrock ceramic
Basic other maintenance. New gears going in soon. Here are some pics I took quickly this evening.

yea, yea, but it had needed it for a loooong time. I got into the VW scene and my truck kinda sat there. I came real close to selling it a couple of times, but could never do it. I knew one day I would want a truck and the truck I would want to build up would be a blazer or jimmy so why sell mine.

I have been having overheating issues for a while. I had a suspicion that is was my head gaskets, but when it started puffing white smoke I knew I was done.

At that point, I had a truck that I couldn't drive on the freeway, couldn't wheel and didn't trust. It was either fix it up or just sell it.

Like I said earlier, selling it was never an option so I decided I was going to dial it out. As we opened it up problems became apparent. The head gaskets were leaking, the heads were cracked, the exhaust manifold was cracked, but the bottom end was killer. Go big or go home. I knew it had to be done, and I can't say I regret it. Truckasaurus has his mojo back.

The gas might be tough, but here is my daily driver. It is a lot better on the gas, but what can I say, I don't like stock vehicles. My wife won't let me near her Passat. :wink1: :haha:
