I dont use high beams alot but I really do need a solid low beam.

I have the upgraded relay harness so I'm wondering if stock 81-88 stacked headlights will be ok with this or should I opt for higher end truck lite. Of course I'll need to get four so they all match. Worth the 150 bucks or just stick with the 40 dollar set lol. I dont mind spending money on a premium product.

Before anyone says it, I hate the black housings. Looking for more of an OEM style.

And I definitely do not want homo ass Ebay LEDs.

Thanks

no personal feedback on truck light brand .

if you currently have a relay upgrade done you should be just fine then .

but these are not :sign9: ebay cheep china junk toss light every place you dont need it lights . https://ck5.com/forums/threads/j-w-speaker-led-conversion-headlight-review.332438/

and if you do a lot of night driving there super great units . hard defined cut off line no one flashing me yet .

and no need for upgrade or relay mod with good led as they draw a ton less juice .

and if you dont use high beam much at all then skip them as i hardly use high now with these units there so good on low .

I have them in Smokey , and I really like them it was big improvement over the stock halogens , I also have them in my plow lights as well. ( different size)

I can't tell off the listing. Are those still sealed beams, or do they have the separate halogen replaceable bulb like most modern vehicles?

I cant speak for those exact ones but I have used the ones LMC sells in both the 4x6 and the 89-91 style and they are a huge improvement over sealed beams/stock

I just cant get behind the look on the JW. No go for me but I know they put good technology into their line. I just literally can't even.

@Talon762 do you know who manufactured the lmc kit?

@yellowK20 I checked out the smokey thread real quick. Pretty cool btw. I'm glad you like them.

@dyeager535 I think they are not serviceable even thought I think they look like they should be.

I do not, they came in plain white boxes, they do seem very well built however and the beam patterns are good

i know they look a little funky but they WORK . . . . and even these others to the true ocd person are not correct for the look so its what do you want in the end . form over function or function over form ?

good luck in what you pic and hope it works good for you .

here is 2 pics and a bit more info i typed up this morning on another forum for around the same question .

there is a sign on the air port fence and mail box and telephone pole you cant see on left and just the mail box pole on right no box . then with the low only of j.w. speaker there all there . also you can make out the pole right before the mail box thats a older darker color pole with the led lights that you can not even see in the before pic .

and these are from my crappy 2meg pixel camera phone . real lift view is 10x better .

these pics were taken from my driveway to the end of the street at the airport fence . the pole left to my mail box is just over 100 feet . my mail box to the end of the street at the fence sign center of pic is around 300 feet range .

I believe that there is a good amount of improvement over sealed beams to be had. I couldn't justify LED headlights for my '95 which has the 5"×7" ones. My buddy bought ones from LMC and liked them a lot, I bought Hella "E" code ones and I am happy. I spent $150 total on headlights for what I believe is a $2300 truck. Glad I did it! And it was cheaper than the "good stuff ". I believe that sometimes the middle level stuff is fine. So I would try the Truck-lite ones for that price.
And @obijuank5 , I will probably hold off on LED headlights for my old stuff about as long as you because of the look in the daytime., but I may add auxiliary lights that have a beam cutoff and are legal to be used on the road in the right application.
