TRUCKS VS BLAZERS ARGUMENT

For what it's worth - Here in Vegas we spend most of our time trying to keep up with a local truck (Pres. of the local www.TotalKarnage.net club). See:

Alright i got it now /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif Also, Willyswanter, your running a longbed, its a little advanced from what im thinking of doing, but, your long bed does fairly well off road right? Is there ever a time you wish you had the shorter wheelbase?Looks to me that thing can get up and kicks some ass!! /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

I junked a mid 70's K-10 a few weeks ago that had the frame cracked almost half way though where the cab met the bed. Not to mention the cab mounts were wasted from the body binding on the frame. It was still on stock springs and the bump stops were trashed. The truck would have probably been saved if it had a decent lift and shocks or if the previous owner hadn't of tried to flex it out with stock suspension.

Alright......so far ive got= #1 Bad departure angle #2 longer wheel base #3 no camper or additional seating #4 Frames flex ,witch leads to #5 frame failure and death.

Wow. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

i like my shortbed, its in the middle of a longbed and a blazer. sometimes i wish it was shorter, but there are times when i wish it was longer, i got a pickup cuz i have a 4 wheeler and i like to haul stuff around. i guess it all depends on what you use it for.

and i dont have that much frame flex /forums/images/graemlins/truck.gif

it seems alot less work to just leave the axles on the truck.Instead of having to go through all that.

My point exactly. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

If you want the frame to flex more, take the top off. However, once you out a cage in,a nd tie it into the frame, there goes the flex.
Truck, bed, blazer, carries passengers. Another advantage of a truck, you dont have to worry about getting the top to seal every winter.
