True Design Wheel is top notch

i only have 1 thing more to make these POP a lot more.

ditch the cheep warn hubs and find a set of old style spicer lockouts .
Exactly what I would have suggested, too. :waytogo:

Not sure if I read this correctly, but are you looking for 15x10 rally wheels or these hubcap wheels?

Craig and Kansas are correct. i'm looking to either find or make a "dog dish" rim with the same backspacing and depth as standard 15" X 8" Chevy 6 lug Rally rim. all the ones i see available are 15" X 6".

Ahh okay, wheel vintique sells them in 15x8 with 4" BS for $73ea, you just select your dia/width/backspacing (price varies)

well....i won these on ebay. not perfect, just what i wanted for those rims. i have no clue if this is a good price, but i think i did good. guess i'm commited now . are kinda beat looking stock aluminum rims worth anything?

88...thanks for the link.
i went over there and i saw that every 15 X 8 was unavailable or didn't offer a 6 lug pattern. i'll call and see if i miss-navigated the web page(because THAT couldn't happen to me)........Bill

It did it to me too, they have the parameter there on the drop-down menu, and you can select it, but as soon as you do, the red "add to cart" button changes to "unavailable" status...

i just called them and the sales guy told me they don't do 6 lug wheels anymore.........ok

i'll be doing business with Jim unless i run into another blessing. now i'm all excited.......the fun is beginning

I was just trying to help

just for the record the online worked for me

just select 15x8....6x5.5....then 4" backspacing...says available and I added to cart :dunno:

anyway....wonder if Jim would do a group buy, Im kinda leaning this way myself

nobody's giving you a hard time bud. reading text on an internet forum can be mis-interpreted so many ways.

I went back and tried it with the 4" backspacing and you're right it did allow the wheel to be added to the cart. Interesting.

88....i'm grateful for the link and didn't mean anything sarcastic by my post. the "okaaaaaay" was a jib at them.
on that site as soon as i selected 15 X 8 it went right to "unavailable" for me so i called and figured i'd talk to a human. Chris, i believe his name was, told me they don't make the wheels i want. they should remove the choices they don't carry.....in reality who cares, we have a man that will do it. how does a group buy work?

Its all good.....group buy means you ask the seller what kind of cost break could you/we get if we sold a certain number of wheels...lets say we had 5 members that wanted a set, they might offer 10% off or 20% etc

cool....i'll gladly participate in a group buy. i'm listing a bunch of Harley parts on my shovel forum to finance this truck, so i have some time if that's what it takes to see about this buy. wheels and tires will probably be the last thing i need but i couldn't pass up those ebay dog dishes......kinda motivates me when i have parts kickin around.

how do we get the word out for a group buy?

Start a new thread in the Garage. That's what I'd do. But check with one of the mods like tRustyK5 first, since it has to do with buying and selling, etc.

I don't think a group buy thing is gonna be a problem in the Garage. Hell I'm interested myself, although i want 16X8 and 8 lug. (prolly not much help on the group buy...)

I dont see why not, size shouldnt matter.....he needs to call the guy that builds these and see what a price cut we can get first

i'm new to this, but if it were me.....business is business no matter what i'm building.......we'll see monday

I'd Like some 17x10 with 4.5 back spacing that accept the stock Hubcap

YellowK20....i know he has to order 15 X 6 rims to get the center section to make them 8" wide for the onea i want. i'll ask if has a custom center section in 17" that'll accept the stock dog dish caps......gonna need a little list to give him an idea

That would be sweet!

I would think the stock 16 or 16.5 center would work with the right hoop. GM did it with the old S10 styled steel wheels. I think the 14 and 15 model used the same center.
