Looking for information on what to use for seats in my truggy build up.

I have a 5 point harness and will mount the seats to the roll cage.

open to all suggestions...

I'm a big dude,,6'7" 375 lbs..
what aftermarket seats do you BIG dudes run ??
I'm not going to fit in some cheap ass drag racing aluminum seat.

I could spend hours on the phone and web,,,but if someone has been down this road allready...help a brother out....:D
 
PRP has extra wide and extra tall or they can make a custom set for you. I have PRP's and like them.

Ahhh, see....thats all you had to say. :D Well let me start by saying Im NOT a big dude, 5' 10" 180, so I humbly appoligize for being so......rash.......NOT! :D


Damn, You is a big'sum bitch. I have a bud who is 6'7" about 250/260. I would say you would have a hard time fitting in even the seats that come in a "wide" version Like the Corbeau Baja SS Ultra's. I have the regular Baja ss Ultra's and the "Wide" version is only 4 inches wider. The regular SS Ultra is kinda tight for me even. In sure it will fit me with time but that first sitting when I bought them was , "damn, Kinda tight fit".

You could have a set custom made for your frame I bet. Contact Mastercraft or any of the brand name seat manufactures and see if they will do a custom for you. Couldn't hurt to ask. The one that will is the one that is into helping the customer. For a truggy I would recomend a full suspension seat though. If your gonna rock crawl it hard which I assume you will you will want the extra suspension cushion if offers.

Side bolstering to help keep you in the seat when tweeked and twisted and articulated in the rocks helps too.
 
PRP's are great seats. Have 4 in the Jimmy. I am going to be in Ca. in June and will pick up a set for my truggy. Call them. They are very helpful and do build custom frames.

hmmm you could buy two seats, then mold them together into one "extra wide" version:laugh:
 
I am a smll guy, 145 lbs

I get the corbue"sp?"

seats, 159.oo for vinal or 169.00 for cloth/vinal shipped!

great comfy seats I have had a couple sets and love em.
 
I have the PRP in the extra wide, which is two inches wider. I am 6'1" and about 250. These fit me great. My waist is a 40 :o. just for reference.

So you can look at those figures and prolly decide if that will work or you go custom. I also had them do a rear seat for me that was extra narrow to fit between my tubbed fenders.

Also wifey is 5'3 and around 120 and the seats fit her fine also, (once you reel in the harnesses).

they are just giving you a hard time.

running the website is not free, and it has alot to offer..so for full use of it there is an annual fee. Just the people and know how on here has saved me serious $$$$$$$$ times over.

Just mess'in with ya man, dont take it wrong. I said burn cause you cant see the pics. Payup and you will. A BURN for ANY reason is just damn funny. :D The other bigger site does not compare to ck5 period. Thick skin is a good thing. Burn! hahaha :haha:
