Well i bought myself another dana 60.. after realizing the first one i tried was way to beat for my budget.. so i picked up this one, need hubs/rotors.. but thats on the way. everything else is mint. 4:10gears.. gonna keep them for now. And that 14bolt is going in with it eventually. Swaping out my Dana 60 rear and d44 front for these. Current axles are kinda pissed.. so i figure great excuse to go w/ the Dana 60! woo hoo..

Question on this however with the steering correction for a 6" lift. I know everyone will say cross over... im not doing it now.. no way no possible means. so a lift block would be in order. I keep seeing 2" lift blocks for the stock steering arm. Is that gonna be enough for the 6" suspension lift? Also does napa carry the kingpin rebuild kits? And do you really need to take off the cone w/ the 7/8ths allen wrench when rebuilding it? It seems like that bushing would die way b4 that even begins to wear out. Thanks guys!

Don't bother touching the kingpin unless it is really messed up.

You should replace the spring and bushing that are right above the kingpin. Even if they look like they are in good shape, they probably aren't.

ya no ebay.. oh yeah and a dana 70 was thrown in w/ all that along w/ wheel spacers... now i just gotta sell that 70... haha

Yeah like gmc4cw said dont forget the Jeep pitman arms, specifically like a 2.5" drop one, it may help your angles.

jeep arms? so i would need a jeep pitman arm and a chevy lift block to keep stock steering box with a 6" lift. Which arm? thanks

Try cherokee's and wrangler I know those specifically (my brothers got my old XJ pitman arm on his '87 K5 2wd box though if I remember right.

thats what i used to run with stock style steering. id recommend getting one of those. i picked it up for like $25 shipped. but they sell for $150+ new:doah:

jeep arms are only if you go crossover. the make a dropped 4wd chevy arm. I had one. sold it on Ebay, sorry. Dropped draglinks eventually work themselves sideways when wheelin. then its the same as a straight one.
