I'm installing body braces getting ready to put the tub back on the frame for the last time. I am installing the fuel, brake and frame wiring first. I'm putting a tbi 350, 7oor,and 205 driveline in it. My 1st question is related to the fuel system. The blazer has a poly tank in it. I was wanting to go to a steel tank with the in tank fuel pump. is there a tank that fits or do I just need to put an inline pump? whats everyone else doing? More to come as this is my first build.

I've looked at your build several times. Great job!!!! I was looking for a 25 gal tank and do a set up like what you have but couldn't remember which build I was looking at when I saw it. I brought a 31 or 40 gal from the local bone yard today to see how it would fit. It was about 2" too wide and it was going to be almost to the axle. Did the frame have to be modified to fit with the tank you used? I think the boneyard has a '87 with the tank still there.

I used a 25 gallon tank. I had to modify the tank for the filler tube and I took the frame pieces off the 90 and welded them in between the frame rails on the 72. It fits perfect between the frame rails. My only problem is I mounted my tank to far forward since I moved my axle back an inch. It may self clearance the skid shield when I bottom out.

I'm going to look at the bone yard tomorrow. He thinks he has a '87 'brub in the yard. Also I orderd one of the widstar fan systems from the site you posted on another thread. They are on sale thru tomorrow for $54.00 shipped. What is needed to make it work? I'm a long way from needing it but I couldn't pass up the deal! It even has a 3 year warranty.

Well I didn't have any luck with the burb tanks. They were both 40 gallon tanks. I think they would have hit the transfer case . I did find a 20 gallon tank out of a 92 S10 blazer. I think I can mount it between the frame rails. I think that doing that I can get away from the clearance problem that the bigger tank has.
