Well, I've been trying to sell my 94 YJ wrangler for a little while now, and I just got the most interesting offer yet, a 67 half ton 4wd suburban with a Buick 455 in it.

I'd like to get $2300 out of the jeep, but I do like this burb, and he really wants the Jeep.

What to do?

Thats about as unique as you can get. I say if its a clean engine swap and nice body go for it.

Well, he sent me one picture so far, and the body doesn't look great, but I'm no expert on this body style, especially Suburbans.

I hope he doesn't mind I post this on here, but heres the picture.

That looks to be a $1500 burb. You need to look under it and also check the door jambs. I believe the floor pans like to rust as well. That is definitely a restoration project but would turn out sweet. He should give you the burb + $800.

I'm trying to sell the Jeep to get my Cummins Dodge finished, So the Burb would either have to be a lot of fun, pretty sure it is, but also worth enough for me to sell it and get the Cummins roadworthy.

So, I guess I'll pass on it.

I'd hold out, unless you were looking for a Sub. Should be easier to sell the Jeep, larger market for it.

Around here jeeps are made of gold. Even the sissy models bring crazy money. Have a rusted out pos? Toss a HarborFreight winch on it with some BFG At's and suddenly you have a bad ass rock crawler that is worth 10k.

That burn could be fun but the lower body is shot to hell. The burb plus some cash would be worth it. 800 like bj3brown said would be about equals.

I bet that Burb boogies with the 455 Buick in it though...nice rock crawling low end torque monster!..too bad it is a tad rusted, but those year 3 door Burbs were pretty low production in a 4x4 version,it could be worth a restoration....

I had a '71 K-10 like it but it never made it to the roads,I got it for parts,it was wasted body and floor wise..had a factory rear plywood floor in it,marine type fiberglass impregnated stuff,it was the toughest part left on the truck to remove..
