i could of swore a year or 2 ago that i could get some 38" bias tsls for a 16.5" rim for around 200$ a tire....but i cant find anything around that size under 350$?

38's for $200, haha you can't get a decent 33 for $200 these days.

My 33x12.5x15 Goodyear MT/R KEVLARS cost me like like 650 for all 4 installed on my rig brand new:whistle:

Which is completely irrelevant because we all know you work there and got a discount on them.

Tirerack.com says $205 a piece.

I remember buying a set of 35" boggers for $235 each, now they are $350 each. And I paid that for a 40" boggers. **** is getting ridiculous.

$600 / tire for the new 38" KM2s....

It ridiculous these days.

:usaflag:

no longer made here. all over seas made now = shipping and biggest kick to price import tax now.

days of cheep tires long gone.

Actually it's mainly the cost of raw materials, the most obvious one being rubber, transportation, and labor having gone up while the US dollar has fallen.

All I know was I was shocked as hell to find you couldn't get a 285/75R16 or 305/70R16 mud tire for under $220 ANYWHERE last spring that was a "name brand". Even the no names were up there high. Last time I priced them, admittedly 6 or so years ago, they were around $150. Ooooooph.

Ding ding ding

Petroleum based product. Try pricing big Boogers. :doah:

Tire prices has sky-rocketed in the last few years, and Swampers have been even worse because of the availability issues.

To the OP, it's probably been a little more than 2 years ago but Swampers in the skinny 38" size were around $200 several years ago. I used to run the 13/38-16 (basically the same tire but for a 16" rim) and remember compteplating getting a couple of new ones and they were in the low $200/tire range.

A few months ago I was cleaning out a filing cabinet and found a receipt for a set 33x12.50 BFG Mud-Terrains I had bought back in the late-90's and they were $125/tire....no special discounts and got them through National Tire & Wheel.

I paid $800 for some 33x13.50 swamper ltb's back in 2007. Got them shipped right from interco to my local kal tire up here. That was no special discount or anything.

In 2008 I paid 275 a piece for 13/38/16 bias tsl's shipped again to my local kal tire which again was a hell of a steal for around here. But I knew the manager so he gave me a deal.

In 2009 I got a set of 33x12.50 KM2's from kal, only cause the manager I knew still worked there. He sold me the tires for 225 a piece which was a steal compared to the 305 they sell for regularly.

Also it seems around here one cant find a good set of truck tires for under a grand.

Whats the price on the 42 rockers? arnt they still under 400? seein how i have to brand new 42 tsls i might just have to replace the other 2 with rockers. That would look kind of odd.

I remember wheelin on my first set of 35s and thinkin how awesome it would be when I started making more money and could get some 40s or bigger.

Ten years later and making three times as much money and I can still barely afford 35s:dunno:

Hell at the rate of the raising prices of rubber, we might as well go back to wooden wagon wheels. Ill take a set of 44" wagon mudders.
