Are they good for anything besides laughing at??

I mean honestly. I have never heard anything good about them, and I have never heard anyone suggest them to somebody to buy (unless intended as a joke).

I had some back years ago....

Sold them immediately...

One word BOGGERS (unless DD)

I have a set.
Got them cheap.
Yes they ride like crap.
They work for what I use them for.
But I will not buy another set.

were on my rig when i bought it (i was a stupid 14 yr old) sold em last spring with rims for 425 and then he gave me beater tires/rims to drop my trans then sold them for $60 so almost 500 for them ****s.

They suck off-road, they suck on-road. So why does Interco introduce new sizes a few months ago??

I've had a Jeep on stock street tires do better in the mud than the truck with Thornturds that was with me at the time.

You couldn't pay me to run them on anything.

I knew a guy who ran them on his Toyota. He said he just couldn't find another tire that looked as good. I asked him about them and he claimed that they didn't wear "too bad" and that they didn't ride "too bad", but I don't know what the frame of reference was. I have to admit that they do look pretty cool, as long as you don't think too hard about the tread pattern.

Does anyone still have a pic of someone using a real big thornbird as a tire swing?

Looks is about all they have. I wonder if grooving them would help at all? It seems that the tread pattern is too close together to do any good. I'm an old school fan of gumbo monster mudders. I wish they still made them hah

Seams alot of sand dirt buggys run them(2wd VW types). I have never owned a set but a friend of mine did. He took them off and put BFG ATs on and said the BFGs was 100 times better even in the mud.
