What application is that rotor?

Anyone running this kit?

I'd like to see pics of the brackets instead of the drawing as shown on the TSM link.

looks like a nice setup, but id bet its hard to find those rotors when they wear out, or they are pricey. they might only be available from TSM. definitely nice for ppl actually wanting to run dual wheels, otherwise i'd use the other kits that use the front rotors.

look like drw rear rotors for the gm new bodys or ford disk rear drw. the reason so deep is 2 part. ebrake inside and as needed clear drw.

The rotor could be the one for the later P30 duallies. I'm using those rotors and had to put ~1/4" spacers on and grind the calipers to get 16" wheels to fit; any more spacing and I'd run out of stud length.

That looks like about 1" worth of spacer, with the stock studs and then another set going into the rotor, so stud length isn't an issue.

I can dig up part # or application if required -- it's the same one Kert uses on his dually kit, IIRC.

How about pics of this stuff bolted up on the axles? Like the TSM pic above.

Damn Wes, make up your mind already. :D You said you wanted to see pics of the brackets now you want to see a pic that looks just like the pic you already posted. :dunno:

Did you get my reply to your PM you sent me?

I want a kit that does not require any welding, fabrication, etc. I don't want to butcher my '87 V30, so to run rear disc's with the 16" Budd wheels without mods, I'll be a happy camper.

Yeah got your reply and have been slow to respond. Not sure what to offer either as I have no idea. Is there anything you're looking for in trades? I may or may not have it, so let me know.

Oh yeah, I want to see how Kerts setup looks on the D70HD as compared to the TSM kit. I don't think Kert uses those deep hat rotors either.

i would love a drum in hat ebrake setup on my 70HD. dont really feel like buying those fancy $300 calipers.

I remember Kert offered a dual caliper bracket years ago. Luckily I was able to save a pic of said bracket. Not sure why he discontinued them.

I know that pic is for a 14FF but its still cool regardless.

Our cab and chassis kit and dually dana 70 kit uses a very deep rotor like that. Only way to get the clearance from the bud rims.

Caliper still requires just a breath of grinding. It's very minor though. Just a minute or so on the outside of the caliper.

The dual caliper piece was tested and although cool and did work, it doesn't work as well as a single caliper. It would require a different master cylinder to put some serious fluid volumes to the rear and then the bias to the rear brakes would be pretty significant.

I ran the dual caliper setup for a year or two and to Moab and back. Through the colorado rockies on the way out. Down hill with the big trailer and blazer on the back. Like I said, they worked and kept the train from getting away from us but.....

So is it possible to purchase such said brackets from you?

I need to check one other thing if you want to try the dual calipers. My duals are a the smaller GM metric. I've never compared them to the deep rotor seen here.
