Be interesting if this Diesel Burb actually goes(I doubt it).

The last one has a Dodge Cummins motor in it and the axles are from the truck the motor came from I'm pretty certain /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif. Oh well if you are gonna do Diesel, do it right. There was a Cummins Diesel NBS pickup chosen for 2003, it didn't go though, not that we know why but I bet they decided it was too nice to take.

I saw that thing at EJS. Whata turd!

Looks like Canada is reprezentin!!! /forums/images/graemlins/peace.gif

I dunno, that burb looks a bit shiney to go into TTC

The Knight will slaughter, not that I'm bragging because of association either, it just, I dunno, doesn't quit....

A '62 Unimog /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif dang, isnt that a little large? Maybe next year the Army could enter an M1A2 Abrams tank or a fire dept could enter a fire truck with boggers /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif

Have you ever seen a 62 Unimog? They aren't as big as you think.

The Mog 404's are about the same OA length as a Burb, as I recall, and only slightly wider.

They are considerably taller in stock form, but they are not huge.

The little ones -- U402's, maybe? 406? -- and the Pinzgauers are amazing, and small and cute. There's a cousin of the Pinzi called a Haflinger, more like the US military Mechanical Mule in a 4WD than a real truck.

I see that rig everywhere. I think it gets a lot of press just on the unique factor alone.... Makes for good copy...

[/ QUOTE ] I'd love to see it just not perform in ttc. He better run some real tires for the event. Those are so narrow and I can't remember how tall they are? anyone? Either way ground clearance with 2.5 tons and less than 42" of tire is nothing I'd want to run with. As I think about it, it is hard to argue with 6 wheels all getting power...

404 mog like that is 78 inches wide and 114 inch wheel base. Cub weight is 6200lb. It runs 38's stock, they say it can hand a 42. Its locked both ends and it has about 150:1 crawl ratio. With the crawler box you can get it down to 300:1 and that's a bolt on to the existing box. It a hell of a wheeler out the box.

My 75 is 107 inch wheel base (ofset the axles) and 82 inches wide and weighs 6300 LB witou hard top and me.

A 406 is a 94 inch wheel base 75 inches wide 7,000 lb and has a 20 speed gear box with 400:1 crawl ratio. Lockers front and rear.
The reason it is so heavy is it is set up for construcktion implenents like back hoe's, scraper blades and articulated mowers for road work.

This is a short wheel base U1500 AG short wheel base (about 110) with a bushhog and three way tipper (it can dump either side or back). It will also acept a back hoe and scraper blade. 20speed gear box full hydraulic controls and will run just about any farm implement that a John Deer can.

Hell of farm tractor huh. With fast axles and different tires it can run 70mph no problem.

Not much else stock that is in the same leage as a Mog. Pinzgauer is about it and some of the Volvo 303's but still not quite on the same level as a mog.

Mogs are indeed capable out of the box, I love the brush hog mounted on the front /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
