1990 Tub Assembly... In pristine condition, restored off chassis. Sand blasted, stripped, POR 15 paint &PPG epoxy primer. It's as nice as you will ever find it's been indoors since 1999. $15k.

Still cheaper than a replica body.... Or paying a shop to do a frame off restoration....

100 hours of shop time goes by fast doing a complete underside restoration.....should be SPED math easy to figure 100 hours at $150 an hour burns up retainer money fast.....

It goes on the eBay auction block tomorrow.....time will tell if I just write the loss off and crush it.

not to be rude ......... but just had a link posted here on ck5 for a clean drive home k5 at 15k ..... so this might be were his comments come from not sure . .. good luck to you and hope you get the price points you have set in your mind .

Didn't mean to sound ugly. It's just a huge number, kinda shocked me.
Good luck with the sale.

Everybody knows its cheaper to buy finished (generally speaking) vs build from scratch.

Lot of money/time already spent on this, and would be perfect fit for someone wanting to do ground up resto/build.

The crowd on here generally either wants something complete or wants to put their own sweat equity into it, which is what makes this listing challenging as it doesnt fit either of those. To the right buyer this is a good deal, just have to find the right buyer. It only takes one.

Best of luck, hope you are finally able to find the right buyer. Going on ebay i think will give it good visibility for broader audience, and hopefully translates to hammer strike at the end.

I would recommend clearing all the stuff off the body and taking better pics when you list it again. Someone on the east coast might pay that kind of coin but they’ll want to see the typical cancer areas are as clean as advertised. My $0.02.

I agree. You have pictures of a $500 tub. Get it out, clean it off, and take pics of a $15K tub. Pics are everything!!!!

The original images in Black were taken in 1999...their was no visible rust on the outside...most all repair work was done on the floors.

Blazer has been sitting indoors since 1999.... It's January 19, 2024 it's 20 degrees outside and the ground is snow + ice covered... And, tomorrow is supposed to be colder.

Blazer is wearing blue PPG DP90.epoxy primer. Not sure what new images would present.

Yes, barn is on the market too.

They say a photo is worth a thousand words.... eBay ads come with twenty allowed ...piles of 35mm photos shot during restoration...

Saturday assignment will be to clean off Blazer & take images of the bottom.... Being in primer may not present an accurate condition.

Could write off the purchase price and all the parts & materials......

SUV auction goes live at 1pm est.

But I think those are only a partial deduction, not full price?
good luck w the sale!

ebay link... it could use some help bumping it along....

thanks

just a note; you say the reserve is 19,999 yet the auction does not have a reserve on it

If you read it...it must be there....it Also reads this is an OPTION to buy.... Not an absolute auction. either party has a right to reject if all terms are not met.

better re-check that listing . there is no reserve info under bidding box on top right side like normal . and i dont think they will honor it if just in your info way at the bottom . and buy it now is another button and its not there .

You would lose in court if the auction closes and you don't honor the sale price the way you have it setup . You cannot override the legal contract you signed with eBay via text in the bottom of your description.

The auction has 6 bids, I'd be surprised if you can change any of the terms at this point other than maybe a "buy it now" button.
