I'm looking to bend some 1.5" conduit or 1" fence post to make a swing out tire carrier. I've seen these "Tube benders that look like a half moon on a stick, (almost like a large fuel line bender) Do these things work? I think the're pretty cheap at Home Depot Just wondering if I'm dreaming or not...

Thanks

I don't have experience with them but I think you will be better off buying real tubing and having a race shop bend it. Hot Rod shops usually have a bender for cages that they can do something for you.

with a name like that I'll help ya,LOL

I honostly don't see that kinda tube holding up to being a tire carrier. You'd be better off with a heavier wall and having a shop bend it up. also some metal shops maybe able to bend to your needs in house so you don't have to go all over town looking for a guy to bend it.
