Tube benders

I have the HD model. It's a nice setup. I'm a tube noob. My only complaint is the distortion on the 90 degree bends with .120 wall It's been 11.5 % for me and they consider anything under 12% normal. It's a bit much too me and their solution is to use thicker wall material.

I built the same one as beags86, works great. I use the HF air over hydraulic ram and a Craftsman magnetic digital level.

Thought about that, didn't seem like a terrible project. Getting the dies is where it's at I think..

I knocked my bender out in a weekend.
It was a decently solid two days in the shop to build the bender.
But it had to be done. I built the cage for my lemons car the following weekend.

I like the rouge fab bender. It allows you to mark out and set up several different bends in a couple of planes with multiple clamp blocks. Pretty neat trick.

My jd2 bender has a bit less deformation maybe. I haven't bent 2" with a rouge fab bender. But mine is about the same deformation on 1.5, 1.75 and 2.

I have bent 1.75 .090 on my jd2 with no more deformation than .120 wall. Have also bent 1.75 .250 wall

All with a homemade hydraulic conversion

I have a rogue with there thin wall attachment. I get 8% on 2" .120 wall. There is a mandrel attachment now on the rogue .Still waiting on trying the 2" mandrel. Real easy to use, I thinking I might get better bends if I go full hydro and not air hydro
