Posted this in Suburban area, and got no responses. I'm looking to do tube doors (probably DIY's), but looking for some better pic's and seeing if anyone has them on a suburban or crew cab just to get an idea of what they look like.

(I can't pull up the pics rights from DUY's site, they cut off)

Here are some pics of them on my K5.....

Hijack....

Chris, do your doors use the factory striker pin? I'm curious about how easy it would be to swap back and forth with full doors during our rainy season, etc.

The door pins came with the doors, I'm not sure if they are the same as stock. My old ones were really hammered when I switched them out

Rotary latch info

This latch is approved for human restraint in a vehicle.
Not all are so be carefull.

Spaenaur is 1 supplier of this type of latch

Part # 099-030-is the right hand
Part # 099-031-is the left

stricker pin assembly part # 2-0400-52

Another option is 099-324 (right), and 099-325 (left), pin 099-328

Latch info

I Buy them from Spaenaur 1-800-265-8772

We go through a few on various projects.

Supplied some with multiple mounting brackets to the CK5'er who won the $200.00 cert. for calendar draw.

If you can't source I can provide a pic from the catalog to help..??

I'm sorry: I should have been more clear: is that information about that latch on that tube door?

Latch pics

Hope this helps..?

Here is the detailed info on these latches.
Closest comparison I am aware of.
There are a couple of different styles of release tabs available based on the intended application.

There is another one.

This last one actually has 1 side closed in the photo??? not sure why?

The actual part is open on both sides.

I may have misunderstood..??

I assumed from the pics, that there were questions about where to source the latches for someone to fab their own doors.

In My Opinion--the DIY doors are very nice and well priced!!

Seen a few owner built units that look sketchy at best.

Hope I didn't overwhelm with details..??

I got mine from ORD. Not good pic's but you can see them. I just repalced the Pin with a bolt and locking nut. They do not rattle around but the latch is on the weak side or not approved for human restraint in a vehicle IMO compared to Kellyjohns or Spaenaur. I wear a seat belt so my fat butt don't fall out!:D

I like the TJ mirrors, were they easy to install, or did you need to add a backing plate?

No backing plate, I just lined it up, popped 3 holes, and bolted it on. The panels on these doors are pretty thick, didn't see a reason for backing plates.

I think kgblazerfive has them on his burb... try doing a search and see if his name pops up

That's the only Burb I saw in a search..

Chris, do you have any pics of the hinges and how they mount? Just ordered from Kert today, but 5 week's out minimum.
