Just wanted to give you guys a little more detailed look at our tube doors.

First off, the tubing used in our doors is 1.75" x .120 wl. DOM tubing. All the tubes are capped with our own 1.75" straight cut tube caps and tigged on. Cleaner and simpler, no need to grind it down, just a quick buff.

Hinge Plate!! This is a big one for me right here. Our hinge plate is 7ga. steel. One piece from top to bottom and catches all 6 of the factory bolt holes. The hinge plate really needs to be solid from top to bottom. We also weld on 6 top lock flange nuts to simplify the installation. The 3 main tubes of the structure go all the way through the hinge plate and are welded both inside and out.

Latches. Our latches are a passenger compartment safety rated latch. They are mounted the way a safety rated passenger compartment latch needs to be mounted. The latch itself is pinned and welded to the latch plates. Latch plates are welded to the tube. We also supply a new zinc plated strike pin to go with your new doors. The strike pin has wrench flats on it rather than a torx like the factory.

Here's a shot of all the pieces and parts that go into a set of tube doors.

And one more, all finished. The last piece we put on is our signature hinge cover. 14GA. HRCQ P&O steel. Logo'd and buffed out after welding to make the finish work easier for you. The bottom of the "SKIN" wraps the tube. All the points where tube meets the skin, they are welded together to prevent hooking on clothing or what have you.

If you have some questions, ask away. That's the purpose of this thread.

They are priced at $345.00 pair and UPS is delivering them for an average of $85.00. Ships in a single large box.

Awesome!! I'm just gonna stay subscribed to this in the off chance i take a different direction with my doors ;)

Those tube doors are some of the nicest i've seen, have always been a huge fan of them. Now i just gotta save some money to get a set.

Dammit Kert I've wanted to order these doors for a good two years now! :haha: Have any of your customers mounted plexi glass panels to theirs?

Me too! I could build myown but why when Kerts are bad ass. I will be buying a pair asap.

Kert would you consider selling the hinge plate, hinge cover and latches seperately? I wanna DIY a little bit more as well as keep shipping costs down.

PM me a price

Could well be a bastard to assemble without a fixture.

They do ship ground UPS in a single box. Last set shipped for $43.00.

Subs, and crewcab rear doors has definitely been considered. My crewcab may have to suffice for the R and D rig. :wink1:

Not that I actually have anything useful to add, but a CC decked out with all four tube doors and a tube tailgate would look pretty cocky!

sounds good was un sure of the fixture just throwing ideas for us diy guys..
And i guess i will watch for the rear doors.
