anyone have a link on building tube doors? the latch would be the biggest pain i would guess! i have a couple ideas you guys might like? just wan't to get a little more info thanks

it was laketex. i have a set also. good work, but him and the guy he was making them with no longer make them.

Specifically:

You'll need a left and a right, and they work with the stock door striker as long as the nylon roller is removed.

yeah, thats right... it was laketex. The set I got were his proto types. The got booger welds, but I scored em cheap and dont give a snot. I've leaned my rig against 'em several times, not a single problem. They are solid and gimme an outstanding view too. Not to mention that they weight about 1/5th what a door weighs.

That is weird. for some reason those latches are the only thing I can't get a price for online

The latches are like 9.70 each and are right and left fitted. I called two weeks ago and they seemed to only have the rights and the lefts were a few weeks out (or vice versa).
