Thanks guys! I'm not sure on the latch....Bryan got them somewhere....maybe he'll post or I'll find out.

The latch is from austin hardware. Only problem is that it's not OSHA approved, so to cover our butts, we're going to change up that design a little as well as make it adjustable on the door itself.

Very slick looking...me likes /forums/images/icons/smile.gif!!

Well as cheezy as Jeep soft door latches are that looks fairly stout.

yeah, it's a pretty nice latch. Just not OSHA approved for personell entry and exit. We just dont want any problems down the road. Plus we have to make it adjustable anyway, the ones we sell with have the latches bolted on, not welded.

Why would the Occupational Safety and Health Adminstration (OSHA) have a say in this matter? I would think this would fall under the DOT's jurisdiction. What do thay have to say about the latch? As someone else has said before if they don't have a problem with the Jeep soft top handles, why would they have a problem with this one?

I guess you're right. It's the transportation dept. It's just something about latches for cargo doors vs latches for personell doors. We aren't going to change it up much, but a little. The acceptable ones are actually quite similar and I'm not quite sure what makes up the difference.

Did I mention I was interested...
Michael and Bryan...
Very nice work and fabrication.. You'll make a killing if you put these into production

Curious, Will these fit the trucks also. How intricate is the swap, because I would like to run my full doors in the winter. How much, and where to order? Thanks
