i have a 4in tuff country lift on my 87 with blocks in the rear dose anyone know what degree they are? the reason i ask is because i am planning to do a shackle flip and i would like to order some shims to match the exact degree the blocks are. currently i have 3 degree shims with the lift blocks so what degree shim would i have to order to match the current degree i am running now?

thx

The degree of the blocks is irrelevant. Even though your running a 4" lift now and are going to install a 4" shackle flip, it doesnt matter what degree the blocks are. The shackle flip, even though its the same lift height, will change your pinion angle. A 5 degree 4" block with 3 degree shims wile have a different pinion angle than a 4" shackle flip with an 8 degree shim. Each truck is different. You will only truly know what degree shim to run after you install the shackle flip and measure the angles. Some people can install a shackle flip on a blazer with no more modifications necessary. I personally installed one and had to go appx. 5 degrees shim (accomplished by moving the spring perches), t-case 1" drop, a lengthening of the driveshaft, and a cv joint to the rear shaft in order to stop my vibes.
