Tuffy Lock Boxes

A long time ago, i ordered 2 tuffy mini lock boxes off of ebay. They were mounted on a show truck, and have a couple small mounting holes drilled in the casings. New condition otherwise.

I also ordered the parts to key them alike. Plan was to mount both in my center console, but i went other ways with lockable storage.

Well I'm going to pass on these. The height is good but the length and width are a couple inches short for what I wanted to use them for. If these were 12 x 7 I'd be all over them. Good deal though. Tuffy makes a great product. My buddy runs one of their center consoles in his IH Scout.

Sounds good. I bought this other style off ebay, and as much as it wasn't' ANYWHERE near as strong, it has been more convenient. Mine is looped around the seat frame and stuffed down the side by the console. Mine has electronics in it, not guys, but yah....

Still have them. Bought them when my console lock was broken. Now the console lock works, and i have a hidden gun box in the truck, so no need for them.

Make an offer that's worth me packing them up......or trade?

I never mounted them. I measured though, and think they would fit. You just need to rig up some sort of level mounting surface in the bottom of the console. The console doesn't have a bottom at all, just the cardboard liner.

My plan was to mount them both to a plate, or bolt them together with a spacer so the doors still open. From there, i was going to through bolt to the body.

Figured if you have a strong box, it better be well mounted!

I'm REALLY good at not wanting to get shipping quotes.

God those things are nice. They are so well built.

I never swapped the lock cores, but the extra core i ordered to match one is included, so you just need to install it.
