So it is time for a complete tune-up was wondering if any one recommends using synthetic oil I was thinking either royal purple or mobil1. Also what kind of spark plugs do you guys think I should go with I have been using AC Delco. running msd ignition with headers 350TBI any suggestions would be great.

Mileage would be a factor in most opinions when it comes to syn switch over, anything over 30K personally I wouldent bother but thats just my $.02 on oil. I run Delo 15/40 in my 84 and 5/30 in the other 4 newish trucks. AC plugs are good as well as NGK and autolites all have worked equally well. Ive had bad luck with most Bling plugs unless the vehicle specifically required them like some of the imports do.

Stick to what you always run in the motor, switching to synthetic will probably just get you some oil leaks for the extra cost. Same with the plugs, if it aint broke dont fix it.

Delco's are good plugs. If you stick to regular oil changes, and get the dino oil on sale, it will be more cost effective in the long run, barring any engine wear difference you may see with synthetics.

I wish synthetics would come down in price. I know they are far superior, but engines will go 100,000+ without them, and it will take me a bunch of years to get even that far.
