Uhh ... there's only one adjustment to the linkage, AFAIK.
Down by the tranny, on the left frame rail, is the hinge set up for the shift rail/lever/whatever you wanna call it.
Put the tranny in park, then loosen the bolt down there ... move your lever in the cab to P, then tighten the bolt. Voila.
Now, the *indicator* can be adjusted if the arrow is off (it's on the right side of the column, right about where the shift lever hits the column, phillips screw) but that's another matter entirely
Mine are never quite dead-on, so I donno about play. That could be in the column or the tranny, I s'pose.
