Will an '86 Turbo400 tranny bolt up to an '90 NP241 TC? I've read that the bolt patterns and the spline counts for the NP241 and the 208 are the same, but whenI checked with Advance Adapters, there seems to be an adapter needed for this swap.
(I'm swapping a Turbo400 for my weak 700R4 in a 1990 Blazer. The 400 is out of an '86 Chevy 1-ton CUCV 4x4, with a busted 208 TC)

The 400 will bolt up to a 241 with a 400 to 208/241 adapter (factory part) and a 32 spline input in the 241 (again, factory part).

If you have the th400-208 adapter you are set, all you need is to swap the input in the 241.

Thanks. I want to keep the NP241 because of the speedometer hook-up and the lower gearing. Wish me luck and thanks again.

At least it didn't come out of a Cadillac and create a week long nightmare.:doah:

long story, inside joke
