I have a turbo 400 out of a 79 k5 diesel that im putting into a 79 k5 gas and the electronic kick-down was disconnected on the diesel. So my question is.... how do you reconnect this in my gas k5 and make it work correctly??? Thanks for all the help

both the same...

The TH400's used a switch on the inside of the firewall, right above where your foot rests on the gas pedal,to activate the downshift solenoid in the tranny..gas and diesel use the same switch as far as I know,at least on 73-87 trucks...

Here's a picture of the switch diesel4me is talking about.
