I Have a NP241 off a 700r4 will it bolt up to my turbo 400 or what do i do to bolt it up

thats good to know since my 86 has a turbo 400 n a sucky 208 that wont work the front end for sum reason...gonna swap it(208) out with a 241...
You will only need a 32 spline 241.
Watch for the speedo attachment, some are mechanical & the newer ones use vss (electrical).

happen to know which years have the 32 spline??? ive seen many threads sayin 27/32 spline but was wondering if its year specific...

you can get a 32 spline saft from 4Xheven for 170 bucks and if you have a turbo 400 like me with the NP208 it will bolt right up with the new input shaft i did a lot of calling today also all turbo 400 have a 32 spline shaft but there always oldballs out there but i am sure yours is 32 spline being a 86

so i'll jus have to change the shaft on the 241 to a 32 spline for it bolt up to the 400???

yea as long you have the turbo 400 with the 208
Only if you buy a 27 spline 241.
If you buy a 32 spline, its a direct bolt up.
The spline count doesnt have to do with the year of the case but rather which tranny it was bolted to.
27 spline = 700r4
32 spline = turbo 400

but how "easy" is it 2 find 1 that was bolted to a 400 i guess is what i'm asking...ive got 1 but its bolted 2 a 700r n my 90'...so if i don't have much luck finding 1 that is/was bolted to a 400, i just need to change the 27 spline 2 a 32 spline n thats it???

The turbo 400 vesion is going to be hard to find. Since you have one off a 700r4 with the 208 all you have to do is change the input shaft to the 32 spline

No, the inputs don't changeout from a 208 to a 241. It's pretty easy to find left hand drop 241's with 32 spline inputs. You can also swap the th400 208 to a 205 with the 205 round pattern adapter and long input 205 round pattern t case.
