Turn signals and hazards dead

The turn singles and four-way flashers are not working on my 1987 Burb. I checked the fuse and the flasher unit and both are good. I thought it might be the stalk itself but the wipers and cruise control work. Any ideas?

Sounds like you have no power to the switch in the column. There is a connector at the base of column, check for power there. If power is there, then pull wheel and check for power at switch. I have had wire problems in column due damaged insulation.

The column is my biggest fear.

This is a U Tube video on how to repair loose column to use as a guide to get to the switch. There are other videos 84 to 94 turn signal replacements on U tube. Not a fun job to get the connector in and out of the column.
