TURN THE KEY NO POWER

I went to get in my blazer and the alarm would not turn off. so i opened the door and it set it off.
my system has a button on the dash and when i turned the key something clicked and no power with the key.
headlights come on and i have 12v at the battery. but the key does not do anything.

hope it gets a little warmer cause i am freezing checking the norms battery starter and grounds.
started and ran about 12 today now dead

the switch is alarm turn off but i will check in the morning

i went and checked the grommet under the hood where the wires com from the inside to out and pulled on em and it started the alarm and now it has power
so either the alarm is shorting out or it was the grommet has split and the wires grounding to the body,at least that's my guess anyway. I made sure and put the grommet back in place and and nothing is grounding. I will check really well in the morning to try and reproduce it.
but it starts and alarm works now.

found a connection in the starter wiring that came lose i temp but connecteed it will pull tomorrow and sauder it
