Turned up my Pump

Well I got the pump on the C10 turned up...odd thing is...it doesnt smoke anymore then it did before.

Maybe just a touch...but not much. And in park when i can on it, it smokes less then it did before. Probably a stupid question now but you do turn it clockwise right?

I turned between 1/8 and 1/4 of a turn. It wasnt nearly an 8 mm allenhead either. I used a 5/16s.

I went out for a test drive and the odd thing is. I dont need to have my foot in it as much as I used to drive the speed I want. 55-70 is has much more acceleration also.

I might tear into it tommorrow night again, and get another 1/8th out of it so see if the smoke content increases...thats half the reason I did it

5/16" is .3125"
8mm is .3149"

The difference is only .0014", not enough to notice making them pretty much interchangable.

Mine won't pour smoke, but it does smoke noticably. Maybe another 1/8th turn will do the trick for yours...

Ok I thought you told my 5/8s Rene. I must be losing it. I took it to Holstein tonight and once I got out on the gravel it never downshifted out of OD once, and also it doesnt downshift on gravel either so what I really wanted to do has been acheived. I might mess with it more, I might not.
