I just swapped a pair of axles with 4.56 gears under the little crew cab last weekend. The old 4.10 ratio 14-bolt rear I pulled out turned out to have a Gov Loc in it. Though I never remember both rear tires hooking up at the same time.
It always acted "open". Before the little crew cab, it was in the big crew cab running 39.5" Boggers and it always seemed to be open in it too. But nothing appears broken or defective upon visual inspection (without tearing it apart). I wonder if I get rid of the axle if I should mention that it's a factory Posi that never worked.
