Tweaked U-bolts

While down on the creeper, it struck me how tweaked my U-bolts are from the plate not being square. What do you guys think, is this a serious hazard? I'm not interested in losing another axle. These are the factory plates that came with my D60.

Mine started to do the same thing on my D60. I think it's caused by over tightening the u bolts. To be safe, I would get some aftermarket spring plates from DIY4X. Just my opinion. Not worth risking them breaking on the trail.
 
My factory plates did that as well. ORD as some super thick spring plates that are really nice. I think they are 5/8" thick. Those are what I swapped to.
