I was reading in an early post when someone mentioned that there might be damaged caused to my chasis if I put my stock blazer in a high flex (for the current state) situation with my back top off. Is this true?

my freind has a full removable top and last time we wheeled when we got back and put the top on it was over an inch offset at the windshield. He has lots of rust that didnt help but did have a roll bar to hold things together a bit. i would think you would have to flex pretty good to get a half top to tweak. I never had much trouble with my 79 blazer.

Every time I've rode in a blazer I've heard the body creaking every time it gets twisted up.

It's just the nature of the beast with a body that long and one solid piece.

I wheel my 85 all the time, plus i have wheeled with guy that had there tops off. It all depends on how much rust you have and how bad you flex your chasis.
