I am trying to re install the shift rail. It gets past the first little ball thing that is inside of that metal sleeve, then it just stops. Will not go anywhere, do any of you know wtf is going on?

Both shift rails have to go in alternating one notch at a time. Or just take the balls out until it's all back together.

i know the front rail/range needs to be last ingaged to high or low and first out or you will bind up and not get it to shift.

i have my install directions at work. cant recall now the correct install. but its just the right combo and it will go in.

One of mine I had to tap in with a hammer......it made me uneasy but once it was in it shifts fine.

Remove the nut spring and ball till the rail is in.
Are you using a Allen or drift pin to hold the shift fork or did it fall?
If so remove the side cover and hold it with you're hand and start the rail.
I also tapped on mine with a rubber mallet a tiny bit to get it to start, i also replaced the shift rail seals so that might have made it a little tighter.
