Ok, so I just bought a twin stick setup for my 205. I bought it because it wasn't that much and I have the 205 out already. And because it seems to be a pretty popular setup. But other than the convenience of being able to run in 2wd with your rear in low or 4hi, is there a point? Originally I thought maybe it would be cool to be able to run your front in high, and your rear in low, or vice versa (i was thinking of climbing out of a mud pit or something, front tires on solid ground in low, rear tires trying to float in the mud on high, etc). However I see that you indeed cannot do that because it wont allow it. So, again I ask, other than convenience, is it worth it? ( It is getting installed either way, just wondering if I will even use it.)

Beyond the flexibility you mentioned, the only thing that springs to mind is more reliable control. While IIRC the stock 205 lever is better than the stock '203 (which are notorious for getting out of adjustment), the twin stick gives more positive engagement.

And you CAN run high on one end and low on the other, if the shift rails are appropriately modified ... but, umm, that's risky :D

Another advantage is for use on icy roads. Use front wheel drive

For serious crawling in the rocks, you can use front wheel drive only to reposition the front of the truck. Basically, by breaking traction and steering the wheels you can easily move the front end onto a different line.

Theft deterrant...leave both sticks unlabelled. ;)

Well the rear low is the one in my book i like. Also for break overs that would bottom you're rear d shaft out on you can climb the hill then go front drive only and dig the ledge down for a easier break over angle. It is all about options now you have a lot.On the easy trails when you are going slow 2 low is nice.

2 low is where its at. I only put in the front when needed anymore. You can engage it on the fly at very low speeds so I leave my hubs locked and leave it in 2 low alot. I guess this only really matters if you have a front locker though

See, there's LOTS of good reasons for a twin stick. You should be sold now :D.

Front digs are the best! Lock rear brakes in front wheel drive only and turn on a dime, literally I can spin in a circle.

And it just looks badass with the twin sticks sticking up through the floor.

can 208s or 241s be twin sticked?
If you fabricated the right pieces, you could potentially seperate the two shift forks so that the range and mode forks each had their own lever (this is assuming there is room to run the extra linkage inside). However, this would not allow front wheel drive or seperate ranges to the front and rear. The only extra thing you would pick up would be 2LO. You would also have nuetral in 2 or 4, but I don't see how that would help.

Look in the Product reveiw section on the ck5 home page,They talk about ORD 203/205 doubler kit. I think this the only thing that talks about the install
