twin sticked 203 and range of movement

has anybody encountered a problem with shifting from high to low gear.
it seems that there is a large rage of movement in order to get low gear to engage, and the shift boot you offer seems to be limiting this movement?

I haven't had a problem with the shifter boot limiting travel.
My problem was that the hole in the floorboard where the original shifter was needed to be cut to allow both sticks to fit and also move.
