The 73 K10 is giving me probs.
It was running fine until I messed with it...
Sometime in its life it had 2 tanks... the standard one on the pass side, and a custom 20 gal on the drivers side, which was out of the truck when we got it.
I washed out the custom and repainted it before reinstalling.
There was a valve under the drivers seat/heel board that selected which tank the std engine pump draws from.
I replaced the valve, and all the pipework as original.
Now the truck bogs if I give it a lot of thottle.
Replaced the fuel filters and pump, and swapped all the pipes back to as it was before I started and its still doing it.
Aghh!
Help!

I replaced the Quadrajet filter... the one in the housing under the inlet.... is it possible I put it in the wrong way?
Also, can someone shed light on the fuel return lines?
The stock sydtem has a return line that had been modded with a T and goes to both tanks now... it seems that #2 tank is filling up as I drive.

I will check my twin tank setup for you as soon as I get the chance, too bad I sold the one I was driving a couple of day ago or I would be out now checking it for you.
I have one sitting at my old house so maybe tomorrow.

If you have a carb. Why is there a fuel return line? Pumps for fuel injection need a return line. Pumps for a carb dont use them. What kind of pump do you have? If it is a mechanical or electric pump designed for a carb . Having a return line will bleed pressure of of it. Maybe the fuel pressure is too low at the carb inlet not giving you enough fuel at high load demands.

From what I can see its a quatrajet, and mechanical pump... pump has 3 connectors.
California truck....
I thought it was the pump going south, so I changed it...
No difference.
