Okay guys, I've finally had a chance to put all the pieces together in a "kit" form... The pieces include the following:
  • Our 3-piece H.D. High-Clearance Engine Crossmember with integral Track Bar Mount (see http://coloradok5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=249307)
  • Our Double-Adjustable, Double Jointed H.D. Track Bar for superior strength (1.5" O.D. 1/4" wall DOM Tube and Currie Johnny Joints!) and on-truck adjustability!
  • A Weld-On Bracket for the axle-side of the track bar which fits between the Pass. side knuckle and the leaf spring.
  • This fits: Small Block & Diesel Trucks/Blazers with stock oil pans! We have yet to test it with Big Block, stock oil pan - We know that in it's current form it will NOT fit Big Block with large capacity oil pan - however there is a deeper crossmember design for this already in the making!
Total for everything if purchased individually would be: Crossember for $200 + Track Bar for $135 + Axle Bracket for $45 = $380.00

Right Now though, buy the whole kit for $325.00 plus shipping! I will sell at this price until I see how the cost of things goes over the next few kits I sell, then I will update the price if I need to :wink1:

Here are some pics of one installed (products comes bare steel however):

Crossmember/Track bar full kit

I just wanted to post up a reference on this kit. I ordered and installed one in the last week. They got it out super fast, it is very nicely made, and fit quite well. A little trimming of the brackets was required for my installation, but nothing major-- all cutoff wheel stuff. The really cool part is how much more stable the truck is on the road. I am running crossover steering with a D60 up front and 4" lift. It handles and feels soooo much better. I am super pleased and would recommend this to anyone running crossover steering (the crossmember made tons of room for the crossover drag link too).

Tim,
Thanks so much for the positive feedback! I'm glad everything fit well for you. I am a little curious - was the axle bracket the only piece that you had to grind a little on, or was there something else? Feel free to post up a picture of yours installed too - I might even grab it for the website :)

Darren,

I have an 85 K5 with a 350, D44 but If I ever have to replace my engine, I am going Diesel. Will the kit fit both engine types? What is replaced If I ever upgrade to D60. Either way, I want one...shipping to 89052?

Diggy,
I have two "center sections" for the crossmember - a shallow one that fits the small block tightly and offers the most clearance to the differential - and a deep one that fits most any engine combo we've tried it on, but hangs a little lower. If you want to get the shallow one now, you could simply order just the deep center section from me later on... or you could get the deep right now and not have to worry about it later at the expense of a little bit of differential clearance.
The deep x-member seems to fit with a D60 and 4" or more of lift pretty well, but it really depends on how much up-travel your suspension has. The only truck I've installed this on that I wouldn't have been able to fit the deep one on was a Pickup with only about 4" lift, D60, and coilovers so it was really flexy.

P.S. - I'll PM ya a price including shipping.

I may have missed it somewhere, but will this setup work with a first Gen Blazer? I have a slightly deeper pan and I am wanting to install a panyard bar. It has 4" softrides with bigger rear shackles.

Here's a 1974 Blazer with our Crossmember in it - fits just fine in these and the later ones, but the real early Blazers I'm not 100% sure on. I think it will still fit, but you may have to drill a few extra holes.

Darren,

I think this will work with mine, I might just need to get the deeper crossmember to clear my pan. It was only like 1/8" from the factory crossmember. I noticed that your site is still under construction and I don't think I am going to be on that side of the mountain til August, so what is the best way to place an order?

Thanks,

Wade
