Twizted Engineering Engine Crossmember/Track Bar (Panhard Bar) FULL Kit Release!

Pros: better lateral stability of the axle (especially with long, soft springs)

Cons: expense, complexity and packaging

Will this kit work with the axle moved forward 2-3 inches forward?

Thanks for answering this one for me - I've been away for a bit, and then had to play catch-up with work - now I'm finally getting some time in the day to check out CK5 again :)

BGKYK5 has it right - the panhard bar (also known as a track bar) holds the axle very tightly in the side-to-side (lateral) direction under the vehicle. This, when combined with crossover steering yields a nice, tight steering feel to the vehicle (in other words it "tracks" down the road better), and also helps to get rid of the dreaded "Death Wobble" that is common in these trucks, especially with D60's in them.

curious about this too?/\/\/\

YES it will!! All of our shop rigs have the axles slid forward that much if not more - you pretty much have to when you run bigger tires and don't want to trim your firewall for tire clearance :) It works well in this situation, and also of course if your axle is in the factory location too.

Ya gotta return phone messages. I want to try one as well.

Hey Everyone! I am very, very sorry if I have missed anyone's messages. Twizted has been taking a back-burner status to my other company as of late - we are not out of business, and yes, we pretty much let the phones go to voicemail and then try to return those calls - unfortunately I have been finding out that our voicemail system has been dropping messages on us. Please accept our apologies, and keep leaving us messages! We will try to do better in the near future on getting back to everyone in a more timely manner.

ALSO - as far as trying one of these out on an LS swap, we are making one currently for beufchris to try out, so we will have an answer to this question finally!

Sincerely,
Darren

Can the crossmember with track bar be used on a blazer with a Dana 60, cross over steering/high steer and 5" lift.

Thank you,
Ed
