Twizted Engineering Engine Crossmember/Track Bar (Panhard Bar) FULL Kit Release!

Yes i would the driving characteristics are so good now its like driving a stock truck if not better, there is no play in anything and still flex's turning and driving on the street are awesome.

wich cross member are you running.
here is a pic of where my pan hard is.

Im using the Twizted Engineering Engine Crossmember/track bar.

I also have OffRoad Design Zero Rates in the front and am planing to move the front 1" forward in hopes of getting better clearance between the cross over rod and crossmember.

have you moved you front end forward?

Thank you,
Ed

It may be a little under an inch if it is, i have rear blazer 4 inch lift 52's on the front so its hard to say where it is. But the bump stops seem to line up to the axle as stock location would.

All of my steering clears the cross member and pan hard just fine, there is so many different combos of steering the only way to really tell is to put it on.

i was wondering what happened to this compay are they still making this setup i need one for my k5 and no one else makes anything close to this for our trucks. can someone plz let me know where i can get a set up like this

Hey Wilson,

This guy is still around, but I cant remember what he calls himself now. Give DIY4X or Off Road Design a call. Im sure they can help you. Also, Ruffstuff Specialties makes a kit....

Wilson, Darren is still around. He is now known as TNA (Totally Naked Automotive). Whether or not he is still producing this kit, I can't tell you. If you can get the crossmember w/ panhard bar, you won't be disappointed. I have one, and although still awaiting install in my 70, the quality of the workmanship is apparent. Good luck!

Still around as much as I can be...

Hey All!!! Darren here, and yes, I'm still around, just not that much at the moment. Quick storyline: I closed down Twizted and another business I had in order to move and get a fresh start. Then some craziness ensued, and I had to get another job to pay the bills. Had to move my personal stuff again, and now am packing up the "new shop", because I have to move the shop again. Still don't know where I'm going with the shop yet. Life has been crazy, and mostly beyond my control.

I did get a crossmember built for wilsonmotors this weekend, and will be shipping it out asap. I can still make products, but my time at the shop is severely limited.
Anyone know of a house with land and a barn/shop for sale cheap?! Lol. I certainly hope this move will be the last for a long time, wherever it may be!

Good to hear your still around, I have your crossmember and track bar system and love it. hope you find a place soon and everthing working out for you.

Darren, not sure if you ever got my pics, but I got mine installed on my k30 with a 6.2 and could not be happier with it! Amazing craftsmanship!!! To anybody on the fence about this kit, go for it. Not only would you be supporting a small business owner, but you'd be getting a top notch product as well.

Thank you Sir.

i'll take 1 when you get set up

Excellent! Well, I just found a building that is perfect for the shop, unfortunately it is about an hour from my house but I'll have to deal with the commute for the time being. The move shall commence! Packing, packing, packing... Ugh...
Expect that it will be a month to two months before I am up and running full steam ahead again. I can't wait to get back into this!!!

YOU ARE WELCOME!!!!! Thank you for the great feedback, it makes me happy to see that I've helped you and your truck out! :waytogo:

Moving

Hey all,
We finally managed to agree upon a building to move to. Great space, great road frontage, only it's an hour away so moving will not be speedy. The place is an old body shop, so there is already a full paint booth built-in! Maybe now I will be able to offer stuff pre-painted too!! Lol.

We plan on having everything moved in two weeks, then there is the nasty task of going through everything, getting it all set back up again, and getting going on production again. I figure about a month to do that, but if I can get it done sooner, I will!! I can't wait to be in a place to be able to start fabricating again - it's been waay too long!!

-Darren

i'd probably be interested in one of these too - my truck can get a little floppy with the soft springs up front. sub'd for when you get up and running.

First Gen Blazer/67-72 truck applications

Darren,

FYI. There is a frame height difference that has to be dealt with to use this on first gen Blazers/67-72 trucks. We are putting it together now and I should have a solution to post soon.

Here's a 1974 Blazer with our Crossmember in it - fits just fine in these and the later ones, but the real early Blazers I'm not 100% sure on. I think it will still fit, but you may have to drill a few extra holes.

I believe he is working on getting his shop put back together near his old location around Denver. His kit will work awesome on your 84 for sure! If I run across his number I will let you know.

These guys back in business yet? I really want this type of solution for my walking front end problem.

Darren is back!!!! He is organizing his new shop in Denver (or real close) and has started setting it up for production. He can be reached at [email protected] until he gets back on CK5. Sounded like he would be up and producing stuff in a week or two.

I believe he is looking for somewhat stock K10 or K20 in the Denver area to use for product development on some new ideas he is working right now as well. I wish I was closer...
