I have a completely dissassembled bone stock 96' 454 I was going to run in my K5. It's didn't need rebuilding I just took it apart so I would have to freshen it up. You can look at all components with your own eyes. Also have the factory 89' out of my crewcab thats been fully rebuilt. Just needs throttle body installed and its a complete motor. Just been sitting with all fresh assembly lube in it for a long time.
Paid $750 for the 96', will take $500 obo for it. It's a solid motor that had only 60K on it. I bought from longbedder here on CK5. Trustworthy member. As am I. Have ECU and harness with it. ECU may not be good just by looking at it. Don't know for sure.
I have $4500 easily into the rebuilt 89' 454 and never bought the Holly TB I wanted so it never got finished. Would like to get $2500 for it. It's a high nickle block on stock bore and has the good GM rods. Have all reciepts.
