Hi, I have an 89 blazer with 33x12.50 tyres & a 3" body lift, i would like to go up to 38s, will a 4" suspension lift be enough? or would i be better with 35/ 36" tyres? ( truck is not seriously off roaded )

well some people have run that combo before but get ready to trim the fenders alot but it all depends on a few things like the lift springs, sway bar or not, backspacing of rims. I currently run 35" muds on 15X10 rims with no lift but i had to cut the front fenders a good bit and can still hear them rubbing off road.

I run 38's on a soft 6'' and they still rub even after alittle trimming.

If your not seriously offroad 35's would be better.

I could still stuff my 35's into the inner fender when i was offroad.

i had a 6" lift, and i trimmed the front fenders, but flexing it rubbed my rear fender, then i put on a 2" body lift. and i havent hit yet...it is close in the rear though. but a tiny bit of trimming would make it fine. so if u trim the front and the back u can get away with 6" or 2" body lift...made the tires not look so stuffed also.

Thanks for the rplies. Have bought a set of 35s. will a 6" lift need the driveshafts lenthening ? any other mods with a 6" lift ?

you can run 6" with a stock shaft, but it goes through 2 u joints about every 3 months if it is ur DD, i used to have a stock shaft, i got a CV shaft in the back now and its a lot smoother, even with new u joints on a stock driveshaft u get a little vibration, but u can run it til u have enough money for a rear CV shaft. also, you have to take off ur front driveshaft and grind down certain parts in the CV so they dont bind. i dont have any pictures but im sure you can find some on here somewhere.
