u-bolt torque ?\'s

I tried to search, but came up with a bunch of parts for sell threads....

WHat I am trying to find out is, what do I torque u-bolts to?? And what do I torque spring bolts (Through bushings) to??

I am installing a 4" lift /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif(springs front and blocks rear) need this info to complete....

Thanks in advance! /forums/images/graemlins/whistling.gif /forums/images/graemlins/whistling.gif/forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Re: u-bolt torque ?\'s

Spec is 150 ft lbs for u bolts, 90 lbs for main eyes and 50 for the shackle bushings.

Re: u-bolt torque ?\'s

I believe the u-bolt torque ranges from 125 to 150 ft lbs. I settled with 130 /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

U-bolt torque value is relative to U-bolt diameter. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

this may be relative to wrench size also so I personally would not go with this method. Use a torque wrench to avoid problems with such a critical point

I tightened mine with my Ingersoll Rand 2135TI. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
