Hey guys I have just bought some 4" lift springs for my K-5 and need to know what size u-bolts to buy to put them in. The truck has stock springs with 4" blocks now so they won't work. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I don't see how, the bolts that are on there now are for a 4" lift block. The threads only go down about 1/2" below the plate on top of the spring. When I remove the 4" block and put the 4" lift spring in, they will be too long.

You should be able to pick up U-Bolts at the local parts house - Just get stock Chevy (3 1/4"?) u-bolts, as the thickness on the spring packs are close to equal. Most parts houses have the stock bolts with fresh nuts (be nice) in a package deal.

Out of the 4 places I called, the only one that had anything in stock wanted to know the specs before they could help me. I know the tube size, but I needed to know the stock length and diameter sizes. Seems like nobody at the parts houses has the knowledge like the good old days.

they can't figure out what fits a 10 bolt, 14 bolt, etc? man, that place really is useless.

i called a place the other day and said "hey. can you tell me the price for a 12V 30amp single-pole single-throw relay?" the guy froze up. after a few seconds he said "sir, i don't know what that is." at least he admitted it instead of trying to bs his way around it, but i'm not impressed with parts houses, today.

I had a set of stockers i the garage. They measure 3.125 inch ID by 8 inch overall. Hope that helps!

yep i realized the error of my ways... but i was thinking that he wanted new ones becuase the springs would make it longer or something......

I have some that i had made. Got them 1" longer in case i went with the zero rates. Put them on and now i am going 14bolt. If you want them plus the nuts i'll get them to you for $20 plus the ride. I paid $17.50 each. Let me know. I assume you need these for a 12 bolt?
